The fact is: it is perfectly legitimate to purchase and install Office right now, and it is a perfectly sensible question whether the three licenses of a Student and Home version would be able to be re-used within a few months on a new Windows 7 or 8 machine. Short form: Office grants you the right to install it on only one machine at a time. So, on your new machine, log in to MyAccount with your email address, click on install tab.
